Raingo Fres., a Paris, mantel clock, griotte marble case with gilt bronze mounts, the oblong base with inset panels containing gilt foliate ornament, case front with Adamesque vines and torch, the top with urn and laurel swags, and sides with gilt cornucopia spilling their bounty onto the base, all resting on toupie feet, Roman numeral white enamel dial with Arabic outer 5 minute markers, signed "Raingo. Fres. a Paris", gilt Louis XV style hands, 8 days, time and strike, pendule a Paris movement, marked Raingo a Paris, c1870
CONDITION:
Very good overall, stone without damage, feet dirty, bright and matte gilding very good, dial with minor dirt, and small chip at 12:00, hidden by bezel, ticks and strikes, pendulum replaced, Ht 13 1/2"
